To review graphing, we made these fun recycling centers. First, we went on a trash hunt around the school and collected small pieces of plastic and paper (Mr. McEvoy was very happy to see us doing this!) Then we came back to the classroom and sorted our trash along with the sea glass that I passed out. After that, we made two types of graphs to represent our data (how many pieces of each type of trash that we had) - a tally chart and a bar graph. Finally, we put it all together into the project shown below.
