I walked into two more healthy hatched chicks this morning. I could hardly believe it! Then I noticed that we had one egg that was partially cracked open and the little guy had his whole head sticking out. I watched him carefully all morning thinking that he would hatch at any moment but it was apparent that he wasn't coming out on his own. So with half of the class watching, I helped hatch him. What a wonderful experience for all of us.
And here he/she is at the end of the day - as cute and as fluffy as can be!
