I finally resorted to glue and macaroni to help us get the concept of quotations marks!!! This was a tough concept for these kiddos so I was determined to do whatever it takes for them to get it. It has been a long time since I have used macaroni noodles to teach a lesson! (Like since I taught kindergarten five years ago!)
